Our Class

·     Welcome to Yellow C’s webpage! Our class teacher is Miss Child, and our teaching assistants are Mrs F. Patel and Mrs K. Patel.  There are 24 pupils in our class.

·         Our class is "happy, kind, friendly” and “good at sharing". Our favourite things to do at school are: playing on the computer; going in the tent; using the shared area; reading our books; our phonics lessons and playing on the grass. We enjoy our PE lessons, especially when we use the parachute! We have lots of rewards. Our favourites are: bubbles, stickers and playing with the giant football!

 

Half Termly News

·         Our topic this half term is ‘Monsters’. As part of this topic we will be learning about ourselves, our body and healthy eating.

·         We do lots of different and exciting activities in school to help us learn. This half term we will be having a tiger tea party, trying lots of healthy fruit, making sandwiches and having a ‘Monster Party’.

·         In numeracy we are learning to count to 20, and to complete simple additions and subtractions. We are also learning about data collection and beginning to tell the time. In literacy we are learning how to sequence stories; how to retell stories; how to write instructions and how to label things. Our books are ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ and ‘The Gruffalo’. We will also be reading information books about healthy eating.

 

Information for Home

·         Please remember to bring book bags to school every day. Class books will be changed on Mondays and Fridays.

·         Our PE days are Monday and Friday. Please remind your child to bring their PE kit.

·         Please read regularly with your child at home and write a comment in their Reading Diary.

·         Talk to your child about their day at school- What have they enjoyed? What have they been learning about?
