World Book Day 7th March 2013

We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite character from our favourite book.  We wrote about what we liked about the character and the story.  We paraded around the hall after assembly.

Comic Relief Day 15th March 2013

We dressed up in red to raise money for Comic Relief.  In year 1 we learnt about Robert who lives in Nairobi in Kenya and compared his life in Nairobi with ours in Dewsbury.

The Number Train visited Year 1 and Year 2 on the 4th March 2013 to help us with our Numeracy.  We were able to jump on the train and learn all about number, data collection and using money to buy ice-creams at the shop.

Bird Activity Days

In January Year 1 and Year 2 spent two days learning about looking after birds in the winter.  This included collecting data on birds in our local area, learning to identify different birds, finding out what they like to eat, weighing bird food, making different bird feeders, researching birds on the internet and drawing and labelling birds.
